"The brutal murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and countless others in the midst of a global pandemic has sparked national outrage and a strong desire for transformational change among many. While social media has been flooded with #BlackLivesMatter hashtags, posts about “how to be a better ally”, and references to “anti-racism”, it can be difficult to parse out trusted, thoughtful sources from ones that are performative or appropriating. So what does it really mean to be anti-racist? What is the role of white people in this movement for racial justice and liberation? And what does consent got to do with it?

Join the Consent Academy for an online workshop, where we will (1) explore the intersections of anti-racism and consent using frameworks developed by Black scholars, educators, and organizers, and (2) illustrate ways in which we, as white people, can use consent tools in our quest to be anti-racist."
