John Grade: Middle Fork

This event is unconfirmed
Wed - Sun
Seattle Art Museum Pike Pine Retail Core
John Grade's gigantic sculpture Middle Fork is shaped like a tree and made from bits of old-growth cedar. It also grows like a tree—it was originally 40 feet long, and, by the time it was installed in the Brotman Forum at SAM, became more than 80 feet long. Like a broken mug with sentimental value pieced together with glue, Grade will repair something important that we've lost.
