Bateau is also offering a Boeuf Box for your home-dining needs. The $200 package comes with one pint of beef tallow (rendered beef fat), one pint of bone brother, bone marrow butter, five pounds of aged beef bones, one pound of grass-fed and finished dry-aged ground beef, and steaks for four people (including extended dry-aged cuts).

Preorder time: Email up to 12 pm for day-of pickup, or call ahead after noon.

Upcoming Events
The focus at Bateau is grass-fed beef from chef Renee Erickson’s 30-acre Whidbey Island farm. Butchered and dry-aged in house, the beef is then cooked in cast-iron skillets with butter and tallow (rendered beef fat). The menu also includes frites, local vegetables, and starters such as chicken liver pâté and veal sweetbreads.
