Cafe Juanita’s a gem. Open since 2000, and substantially renovated in 2015, it’s set in an understatedly elegant mid-century house near the Juanita Beach Park in Kirkland. Chef/owner (and James Beard award-winner) Holly Smith’s menu emphasizes Northern Italian cuisine (and, of course, organics/localness/sustainability), and the food and service are both wonderful. If we could afford it, we’d eat here constantly.
