Captain Blacks

Right next door to the Stumbling Monk, Captain Blacks is a bar with two decks, a slight nautical theme, and fried chicken and waffles (yes!). The oyster po' boy is also quite good. While salad is available, no one orders it, and most of the food here glistens: beer-battered onion rings, deep-fried Beecher's cheese curds. (An off-menu special: a waffle with a scoop of Molly Moon's vanilla ice cream, aka the Molly Rogers.) The namesake is a pipe tobacco; the apostrophe was lost at sea.
