Across from the Seattle Art Museum downtown, Fonté has the feel of an upscale chain with its pearl-toned leather banquettes and contemporary sleekness, but it's the sole retail outlet of Fonté Coffee, roasting in Georgetown for almost 20 years. Besides coffee, there are wines from around the world for $6 to $30 a glass and a menu including breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, Neapolitan pizzas, pasta, and charcuterie, cheese, and antipasto platters. The cured meats are sourced, in defiance of the current fetish for the local (and Salumi 10 blocks away), from Salumeria Biellese in Manhattan; nonetheless, Fonté is certified green.
