From the owners of Barolo, a small, upscale restaurant/lounge in Belltown called List. List is very mirrored, with the bar glowing red: Red makes people look good, and mirrors let them look at themselves. (The staff and most of the patrons are made-for-TV good-looking.) The Food List includes very reasonably priced and reasonably good Italian small plates. People especially like the truffle gnocchi and the octopus salad. The First Ave—Grey Goose, black raspberry, OJ, prosecco—is a generous reinterpretation of the flavor of the street itself, given that it is not served in a paper bag. In front, a glass garage door can be rolled up in sunny weather for access to a tiny deck built around a stranded tree.
