The Lucky Diner
From the former executive chef of unbelievably-still-in-Pike-Place-Market Cutter's Bayhouse, the Lucky Diner serves old-school diner food until 4 a.m. on weekends. The space looks retro-ish (but mercifully not too much so), and the waitstaff wears vintagey uniforms specially made by local designer Jamie Von Stratton. According to Cienna Madrid, the fake meat in the vegetarian Reuben and the vegetarian breakfast burrito are cleverly disguised, resulting in a “delicious mess” and a “triumph of salt and fat.”
