Mardi Gras season is upon us once again, and there plenty of venues in the Tacoma area ready to get the party started long before Fat Tuesday arrives. Food, drinks, and live music are pretty much the order of the day, as venues like McMenamins Elks Temple and Jazzbones offer up something for everyone. Those looking to venture outside the Gritty City can find parties in Puyallup's Bourbon Street Creole Kitchen & Bar or Auburn's Geaux Brewing. Check out this year's top Mardi Gras events below, and see all of your options on our Tacoma Mardi Gras calendar.
Mardi Gras Party 2020
The good times are set to roll at the Bleu Note lounge, a venue that regularly makes use of a Southern "speakeasy vibe," all but guaranteeing you'll feel like you're getting away with something. And that's admittedly more fun than just paying for drinks that are totally legal. That vibe also goes hand-in-hand with Mardi Gras, as the lounge promises a variety of great music, drinks, and food specials to keep the good times rolling.

For those who want a slightly more elaborate event, there'll also be free beads and masks for all in attendance, as well as free line dance lessons and free bull rides (mechanical, of course) all night long.
