What is EverOut?
EverOut's one goal is to make it as easy as possible for you to go out and have a good time in the city you live in. Founded by the same people behind the popular events calendars at The Stranger and the Portland Mercury, EverOut.com is your one-stop shop to find out about every event and thing to do in town. We want you to be able to quickly and easily find the events you care about, and to maybe discover something new along the way.

What cities does EverOut cover?
Right now, we have comprehensive event listings for Seattle, Tacoma, and Portland. Our editors live and work in the cities they write about, meaning you'll always get local, expert suggestions you can trust.

What types of events does EverOut list?
The short answer: Everything! Or, almost everything. We most commonly cover music, theater, visual art, food, festivals, movies, and readings, but that's not an exhaustive list. We also frequently have political events, geek events, events for holidays like New Year's Eve and the Fourth of July, and everything in between. If it's a public event that doesn't violate our listing policies (more on that below), we'll most likely list it!

Are there types of events EverOut won’t list?
While we try to list almost everything, we won’t list events from hate groups, events that promote violence, or events that appear to be a scam. We also can't currently list private events like house parties or graduations, or most events that require prior membership to an organization or club, unless membership is easily accessible. Sales or discounts at regular stores and classes at regular schools are also not currently supported. Above all, we reserve the right to not list an event for any or no reason.

How do I get an event listed on EverOut.com?
The best way to get in touch is to fill out our event submission form: we have one for Seattle/Tacoma and one for Portland. If you have a press release or your information is in a format that can’t be uploaded through our submission form, you can also email your city's editor address directly (see below).

How long does it take to get an event listed on your calendar?
Each event submission we receive is moderated by one of our editors, so you won't automatically see your event listed on our site. It can take up to five business days for an event to be approved—less if your event is sooner, and occasionally during peak season and if your event is further out, longer.

I submitted an event, so why haven't I heard back from you yet?
Unfortunately, due to the volume of requests we receive, we can't respond to every submission or email we get, but we promise we'll get to it—we value your time and effort in helping make our calendar robust! If you've searched our calendar for your event and you still don't see it, but it's been more than five business days and your event is more than two weeks away, email your city's editor address to follow up!

Can I advertise on EverOut.com?
Yes, and you absolutely should! People come to EverOut when they’re planning to go out, so they're incredibly active, motivated, and the perfect audience for your event, venue, or product. Email us at ads@everout.com for more information.

Does EverOut have an app?
Right now, we have an events app in Seattle and a happy hour app in Seattle and Portland. But we're working on more, so stay tuned!

What should I do if there’s incorrect information in a listing?
Please email your city's editor address right away! Accuracy is crucial for us.

What if I see an event I don't think should be on EverOut?
If you see something that looks like it violates our listing policies above, email your city's editor address to let us know. Our editors do their best to make sure events like these don't make it to our site, but we're only human (that's part of our charm!)

I noticed an event has the words "promo copy" at the end of it. Is that a typo?
No, that's not a typo. That's our indication that that event's description came from a press release or from the event organizer, because we always want you to know where our information is coming from if it's not from us. Most of the time, we write our own descriptions, but, if that hasn't happened yet, you'll see "promo copy" at the end.

Why is it called EverOut?
Because we want to make it easy for everybody to get out and do something!
