Where to Get Takeout for Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year’s Eve, and Other Winter 2020 Festivities in Portland

December 1, 2020
A Tuskivus for the rest of us? Joshua McFadden's Tusk is inventing its own holiday this year, with a lavish spread featuring roast lamb roulade or chickpea pot pie to match. (Tusk)

We know, you've already heard the now-familiar refrain: This holiday season won't be the same, but no matter what form your responsible festivities take, you can still add a little glimmer to the occasion with comforting and luxurious meals for takeout from local restaurants. We've gathered a list of celebration-worthy feasts, like Bullard's smoked elk Christmas dinner, Tusk's "Tuskivus" spread, and Kachka's latke party. For more ideas, check out our full food and drink guide.

There's also a vegetarian version that swaps the lamb roast out for chickpea pot pie, and for dessert, you can get a cookie box with offerings from local favorites Saint Frances, Mason Kale, and Mama Box and sibling restaurant Ava Gene's. Add on organically grown Angela Vineyards wine, mimosa flights, and Bloody Mary kits for extra sparkle. Order by December 19 for pickup from December 23-24—they're likely to sell out, so place your orders early.
