Sousòl List
According to a press release, chef Gregory Gourdet has opened this highly anticipated pan-Caribbean bar located in the basement of his celebrated Haitian restaurant Kann List , which debuted in August List . Named for the Haitian Creole word for "basement," the stylish space is decked out with bright pink banquettes, dark green wallpaper, and a citrus tree illustration. Gourdet has been openly sober for over 13 years, so zero-proof drinks naturally figure prominently on the menu, ranging from the "Konkonm" (cucumber and ginger-black pepper-lime syrup) to the "Fwi Pasyon 11" (passionfruit, spiced banana shrub, and ginger). The bar also features an ample selection of Caribbean-inspired full-proof drinks, such as the "Personality Test" (raicilla, tequila, peppercorn cordial, and grapefruit curd) and the "Djon Djon Djin" (rye, apple brandy, arak, Cynar, and Haitian black mushroom). To eat, there's a menu of bar snacks, including salt cod fritters, doubles, and Trini-Chinese chicken wings. The bar currently accepts walk-ins only, making it an ideal option if you can't secure reservations to Kann, although it may begin taking reservations in the future.

After a decade of business, this beloved cafe known for its juices and vegan fare closed its Lake Oswego location on Wednesday and is closing its Southeast Stark Street location today. An announcement on Instagram read, "Thank you for the opportunity to connect with you and feed you over the years, it’s by far the most rewarding part of what we do. If you have the time, please swing by and let us make you one last treat. We would love to see ya."

Captain Ankeny's List
This Old Town watering hole known for its deep-dish pizzas closes for good after 38 years today. In an email to Willamette Week, owner Jon Abrahamson attributed the closure to the "general poor condition of downtown" and a lack of traffic (due to many workers not returning to the area after the changes of the pandemic).

Prescott Cafe List
Cully's 28-year-old mom-and-pop diner closes its doors permanently today due to owner Rose Funk's retirement.
