The temperature is heating up this week and so is the local food scene. Read on for your weekly roundup of culinary updates, from the new Chinese restaurant Duck Delights to Fried Egg I'm In Love workers' organizing efforts. For more ideas, check out our food and drink guide.

The Deck List
Bridgetown Bites reports that this seasonal floating restaurant reopened its doors on Wednesday, just in time for al fresco dining season. Not only that, but they've also added a new dessert menu and Sunday brunch to their offerings.

Duck Delights List
This Chinese restaurant soft opened in Bethany, serving an array of succulent meats, including roast duck, roast pork belly, barbecue pork, shredded chicken, braised beef tendons, chicken feet, and more.

Gangnam Teriyaki & Korean Cuisine List
The Hillsboro-based Korean barbecue joint Gangnam recently opened this new fast-casual spinoff in Beaverton, with a menu of teriyaki bowls and plates, bibimbap, jjampong, tteokbokki, and Korean-style corn dogs.

Matta Cafe List and Secret Grove List
Psst: A coffee shop called Matta Cafe (not to be confused with the Vietnamese pop-up Matta List —it's named for co-owner Aura Matta) and a cocktail bar called Secret Grove are set to open later this month in a space in Northwest Flanders. The spot will function as a cafe by day and a bar by night, with Colombian cuisine available at all hours.

Jim and Patty's Coffee List
This local coffee shop chain will close its Happy Valley location on May 18, but not to worry: The other three locations have no plans to close.

Fried Egg I'm In Love workers organize a union
Workers at the punny breakfast sandwich purveyor Fried Egg I'm In Love kicked off the process of forming a union on May 1 in the hopes of maintaining what they report to be a positive work environment amid the business's expansion. If you'd like to support their organizing efforts, the Fried Eggs Workers Union is accepting donations to cover a potential strike and minor costs for supplies on GoFundMe, where they write, "The Fried Egg Workers Union seeks to bring a modern and holistic paradigm shift to the world of fast-casual dining. We believe collective decision making and active forward thinking can engender a unique and exemplary dining experience for our guests and enshrine reasonable and powerful protections for our workers."

Canby Brewfest Past Event List
The second annual edition of this beer festival promises "frothy fun" and over 40 beers on tap "so good they'll make you forget your own name," not to mention live music, food trucks, and yard games. Proceeds will benefit the Clackamas County Fair Improvement Foundation.
Clackamas County Fairgrounds, 5-11 pm on Friday, 2-11 pm on Saturday

8th Annual Baker's Dozen: Coffee Beer & Doughnut Fest Past Event List
This annual festival pays tribute to Portland's sacred trifecta of coffee, beer, and doughnuts with a lineup of coffee beers brewed with beans from local roasters, unlimited coffee samples, and morsels of fried dough. This year's lineup includes coffee and beer duos like Baerlic + Water Avenue Coffee, Crux Fermentation Project + Backporch Coffee, and Fort George + Coava Coffee, plus treats from favorites Blue Star, Coco Donuts, Helen Bernhardt Bakery, and Delicious Donuts.
Culmination Brewing, 11 am-2 pm

Cheese and Crack List
As a dyed-in-the-wool rhubarb lover, I'm excited to report both that it is rhubarb season and that Cheese & Crack has brought back their fan favorite "Rhubarbara" sundae, made with vanilla soft serve, house-made Oregon rhubarb compote, and cinnamon oat streusel.

Dimo's Apizza List
The cult favorite pizzeria Dimo's has captured the peak flavors of spring with their new spring carbonara pie, which features shaved local asparagus, green onion, guanciale, taleggio, pecorino, egg yolks, and coarse black pepper. Just thinking about it is making me want to recreate this meme.

Doyaji List
This roving Korean barbecue cart just added a new Korean fried chicken special with honey mustard and green onions that looks like it could solve all my problems.
