Clearcut
The following description comes from the event organizer.
Lawyer Peter Maguire (Ron Lea) has been hired by a Native American community to stop a logging company from destroying their land. But Peter’s faith in the justice system (and himself) is starting to waver after he loses his latest appeal. When Peter prays for retribution against the mill, a mysterious man named Arthur (Graham Greene) suddenly appears. Arthur proceeds to kidnap Peter and the mill’s owner (Michael Hogan), taking the two on an excruciating journey into the wilderness.
CLEARCUT is a Socratic meditation on the ethics of pacifism, a fraught depiction of Indigenous resistance, and perhaps Greene’s best performance to-date
