Curbside Serenade Winter Showcase
The following description comes from the event organizer.
Curbside Serenade started during the Covid shutdown of 2020 when founder Johnny Franco had the idea of performing on people's curbsides. He posted on Instagram that he was providing Curbside Serenades and his DM's exploded with inquiries. He would perform outside peoples homes, on the curbside of local business and socially distantly in the parks! It was how he made a living and how he made it through the rocky months of 2020.
The idea spread even more so with the weekly shows he put on in Laurelhurst Park.
At the beginning of 2021 Franco brought on local musician and entrepreneur David Pollack to expand the idea to include other musicians in Portland. Curbside Serenade has since filed for an LLC, made partnerships with local business and nonprofits such as Lardo, Sevigny Studio PDX, Zach’s Hot Dog Shack and Alberta Abbey. They also provided donation based music regularly at Mt Tabor and Laurelhurst Park.
We have an amazing roster of fantastic local Portland performers and look forward to growing and impacting the community with awesome live music.
