The following description comes from the event organizer.

Composer Philip Corner (b. 1933) is one of the greats of 20th- and 21st-century experimental music. Active since the late 1950s, he’s composed thousands of works exploring the intersection of the classical tradition, post–John Cage experimentalism, and a desire to forge true creative collaboration between composer and performer.

From January 21 to February 18, Portland’s Extradition Ensemble will present five consecutive Saturday concerts of Corner’s music, exploring his seminal compositions from the 1950s and '60s, his gamelan-inspired compositions from the 1970s, pieces that explore ambient environmental sound, pieces from his career-long association with modern and contemporary dance, and works composed from 1990s right up to 2022.
Concerts 1, 2, and 4 at Leaven Community Center

PDX Concert 3 is a sound walk; a meeting spot will be announced closer to the date at www.extraditionpdx.com/extradition-plays-corner Concert 4 is a music-and-dance performance at Performance Works NW, 4625 SE 67th Ave at Foster, PDX
