The following description comes from the event organizer.

The plants that surround us are full of healing and nourishing properties, if we know where to look! Join community herbalist Missy Rohs for a stroll around the Arboretum to explore the medicinal trees, weeds, and native plants we encounter. You will talk about which parts to use and which plants to avoid. You may even discover a new use for a plant you thought you knew well!

  • Class size is limited and pre-registration is required
  • Registration closes Friday, May 17th at 4:00pm

About the instructor: Missy Rohs is a community herbalist who grows, scavenges, and wildcrafts her own herbs with a focus on sustainable herbal remedies. She has been teaching classes on medicinal plants, health, and ecology since 2006. You can find her speaking at conferences, volunteering with grassroots organizations, and leading classes with the Arctos School of Herbal and Botanical Studies.
