The following description comes from the event organizer.

Have you wanted to do some woodworking but aren't sure where to start? Or maybe you already own carpentry tools but don't know how to use them? This is the class for you!

Join us for a hands-on and skill-building tour around a carpenter's shop. Come learn the basics so you can start building on your own!

This is a skills-based class where you will learn how to use tools but you will not make a project to take home.

Topics covered:
Measuring and marking, including secrets of measuring tapes and speed squares
Using drills effectively
Discussion of what types of materials to use indoors vs. outdoors
How to use chop saws safely
Introduction to brad nailers and air tools

Skill level: This class is great for beginners ages 18 and over as well as 16 and 17 year-olds with parent or guardian permission.
Class Schedule: This class will run for 3 hours with no break planned
