Singer-songwriter/poet Lily Mullen will celebrate the release of her debut album on Mississippi Records with a free outdoor concert at the park across the street from the label's storefront. In true obscure Mississippi Records fashion, I have not been able to find any of Mullen's music online. But, the label's description was enough to pique my interest, comparing her "playful" and "magical" sound to the Raincoats, the Slits, Patti Smith, and Nico.
