Today, we extend an invitation to all, regardless of age, gender, or background, to bring your authentic self to the table of LOVE that Pride Northwest has prepared for you. It is a celebration of love, diversity, and progress. Together, we can honor the past, embrace the present, and forge a future that is even brighter and more inclusive than ever before.
Save the dates, July 20-21 2024, for us to come together as a community, as a family, and create a new chapter in the story of Pride Northwest. Let us remember the feeling, the essence of what made this city so special, and let us build upon it. This is our invitation to you, to join us at the table of LOVE, where we can celebrate, uplift, and create a legacy that will resonate for generations to come.
Known for their comedic takes on celebrity drag impersonation and vocal chops, Monsoon became the first drag queen to compete and win the crowns on both RuPaul's Drag Race (2013) and RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars (2022). The following year, in January 2023, Jinkx made her Broadway debut as Matron "Mama" Morton in Broadway's Chicago, in a record-breaking extended 10-week run.
Born in Portland, OR, beginning her drag evolution in spaces like the all-ages Escape Night Club, Monsoon uses her platform to both entertain and shine a light on social justice issues. She is both a consummate entertainer and a champion for marginalized community members.
The inventive and evocative drag artistry of Jinkx Monsoon, has earned her two RuPaul Drag race Crowns and a starring role in "Chicago'' on Broadway. On Sunday, July 21, 2024 Jinx will bring her music to the Portland Waterfront Pride Festival stage, as the headlining artist.
