Duo Raven Fables (Christopher and Stephanie Corbell) are fostering a songwriter's scene across the river in Washougal. This is their first full-length feature at 54-40, the town's out-of-the-way brewpub that managed to survive the pandemic with low-key live music intact.

Christopher Corbell is known from the Portland indie-classical scene as a composer of opera and art-song via local troupe Cult of Orpheus. The original music of Raven Fables is sylvan folk with vocal harmonies and varied instruments. Influences (and covers in their set) range from the poetic Americana of Gillian Welch and Townes Van Zant to darkwave and postpunk balladry.
