Encouraging theater, music, and dance artists to experiment, push boundaries, and generally go buck wild, the juried Risk/Reward Festival showcases spankin' new works by regional indie performers each year. (Willamette Week calls it "speed dating for contemporary performance," and I have to agree.) This time around, over 40 Pacific Northwest creatives will strut their stuff. I'm looking forward to dance provocateurs Tahni Holt and Emma Lutz-Higgins' performance and the Portland Drag Theatre Workshop, which will be hosted by glam legends Carla Rossi and Pepper Pepper this year.
