Sherry Week is an international event dedicated to the famous fortified wine. There's a number of ways to celebrate in Portland this year: The recently opened live-fire Spanish restaurant Brasa Haya will feature five specialty sherry wines and paired tasting options, while Bar Vivant will offer a "sherry week house party" takeout menu with Spanish snacks, sherry flights, cocktail kits, sherry almond macarons, and more. Owner Cheryl Wakerhauser will also host an eight-minute "sherry speed learning" session at Gastro Obscura's vending machine event this weekend.
