Necro Nadia "dark" DJ set after 8pm showz!

Necromancer Nadia used drug magick to resurrect her dead boyfriend Mike…. and now they have a deth rock band "WHITE KNIVES" this is their love story.

Get lit and witness excerpts from Night Shade's illuminated ZINE EXqUiSiTe CoRpSe as 'Necromancer Nadia' & 'Dead Mike' rise from the grave and conjure their own brand of deth rock with their band WHITE KNIVES. Haunting imagery slices across the shadow screen to invoking an esoteric shadow show from the burial realm.

Illuminate the senses as NIGHT SHADE's award-winning puppeteer Sarah Frechette & filmmaker Jason Thibodeaux & zine illuminatrix liz HOWLS – manipulate depth and space – in a live cinematic shadow experience never seen before. This Portland, OR-based clique, have been doin this for 19 years y'all! + toured internationally with epic hand-cut shadow shows and experimental short films. Night Shade performed this past Halloween with Rasputin’s Marionettes at the Boulet Brothers Dragula Ball in Los Angeles.

Catch sPeCiAL gEiSt liz HOWLS ~ a multidisciplinary puppetry artist with over 20 yrs experience creating and performing. Drawing from many different styles of puppetry, liz creates work that feels both comforting in its antiquity and refreshingly new. The piece you are seeing tonight is part of her exploration of the absurd and avant-garde. She is accompanied by Servant Baby and apologizes in advance for his behavior.
