PTSD-addled Radi lives in his awesome vintage cobalt-blue Volkswagen bus. He unexpectedly gets hooked up with strangers Laila and Sami for a road trip across Jordan—a van full of mismatched personalities. The pace of the film is slow, and the geographical/ethnicity information is often confusing—who is from where and what does this and that practice mean exactly in this and that part of the world. While the film doesn’t completely engage, the story has some unexpected moments and it is interesting to pass through the wonderful Jordanian scenery. (GILLIAN ANDERSON)
