OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS

Portland’5 free summer concert series Music on Main Add to a List returns for its 15th year, happening between SW Broadway and Park Avenue on Main Street Wednesday evenings July 13-August 24.

Central Library will be closed for renovations from August through November in response to a construction bond passed by voters in 2020. They’ll be building new outdoor terraces, increasing access to the building in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and expanding restrooms in the over 100-year-old building. We hope they don’t ditch the pink walls and snazzy carpeting!

Mt. Hood Meadows will open for summer hiking with its scenic chairlift ride tomorrow, Friday the 24th. The trail system includes eight-and-a-half miles of recently constructed hiking trails that can be accessed from the base area five days a week.

Contemporary dance company BodyVox has announced their 2022/23 season Add to a List , unveiling a series of inventive performances. Pearl Dive Live Add to a List will include unexpected collaborators like Matt Groening, Poison Waters, Ludovico Einaudi, and others. The season’s programming also includes the seventh annual CineVox Dance Film Festival Add to a List and the Junior Artist Generator Add to a List youth performance program.

In the works for five years, Tigard’s Broadway Rose Theatre Add to a List finally revealed their highly anticipated expansion with the grand opening of their New Stage venue on June 20. The $3.4 million project responds to the Broadway Rose’s consistently sold-out performances, growing education programs, and expanding staff, increasing space for rehearsing, youth camps, a costume and enlarged scenic shop, administrative offices, and more.

Bend’s High Desert Museum Add to a List has welcomed a baby North American river otter into their care after the abandoned eight-week-old pup was rescued from a nearby golf course. He’s not presently in public view, although the museum plans to eventually introduce him into the Autzen Otter Exhibit. Now would be a nice time to show the museum some support—why not check out their exhibition Vanishing Night: Conserving Dark Skies in the High Desert Add to a List before it closes on July 10?
