The following description comes from the event organizer.

W/ Sam Pinkerton and Hannah Glavor

Dakota Theim
A songwriter with a gift for whimsical melodies, breezy productions, and introspective lyricism, Dakota Theim has been a mainstay on the Portland indie underground for years.  His sound is largely inspired by the golden age of FM radio, laden with sunny harmonies and blissed out guitars.  With his latest releases, he is exploring new sonic territory while musing on relationships, identity, and aging, resulting in some of the most endearing songs of his career.

Dakota’s auteur-like qualities have earned him favorable comparisons to artists like Tame Impala and Mac Demarco.  He writes and produces all of his own material from his Portland home studio, often times being joined by live band members Ben Bilotti, Alex Werner, Jack Stringer, and Joseph Freeman to round out his recordings.  Together, the band has hosted several sold-out shows in their hometown, and toured extensively across the Pacific Northwest.

Sam Pinkerton
Portland-based singer/songwriter Sam Pinkerton, from Venice Beach, Florida, began her career as an artist 10 years ago. In 2012, after moving to Nashville, TN, and releasing her first record titled An Introduction, she has since released A Story in Parts (2015), two singles Strangers and Electricity (2016), and Ceiling (2019). In 2017, she started a blue-eye r&b band called Prolly Knot and released several songs. Over the past few years, Sam has committed to her writing. In 2020, she wrote over 60 songs and is currently working on recording her favorites. Her latest single, Heartbreak released on February 18, 2022, with more to come this year.

Hannah Glavor
Hannah Glavor is a Portland based singer-songwriter with a cinematic range of indie pop and folk rock.
Hannah's music is a mature meld of indie rock revelry and raw folk spirit, clutched together by catching pop elements. Her evocative lyricism, intimate vocal delivery, and enthralling arrangements conjure a compelling and eclectic blend of comparisons from Faye Webster to Fleet Foxes to Torres to Metric.
With “So Far, So Long” (2020), crafted with the analog masters at Mason Jar Music in Brooklyn, New York (Feist, Fleet Foxes, Andrew Bird, Chris Thile, Josh Garrels, Liz Vice), Hannah’s new solo work beckons a triumphant new chapter of sound.
Throughout the years her songs and mantra have not ceased to strive to give language to hope; having weathered losses, difficult transitions, and surviving brain surgery in 2017. Her cry for peace and hope, even in the worst of life's storms, is an invitation for all to fight to see and love others around them.
