Xochitl Nuño is a high school student who has been awarded the gold medal in the National Scholastic Art and Writings Awards. She has been invited to attend the award ceremony at Carnegie Hall.
Xochitl is in her senior year of high school at David Douglas and has made the executive decision to attend the award ceremony at Carnegie Hall instead of her graduation which happens to fall on the same day.
She is a young artist who has many years ahead of her and this award is a great honor.
This event is a joint event that will have pieces of artwork from both Xochitl Nuño and Hampton Rodriguez. 25% of the earnings made from Hampton Rodriguezs' work will be donated to helping Xochitl with costs and fees to get to New York.
