We tend to think of nature as pretty cutthroat—it's a survival of the fittest, dog-eat-dog world, and so on. But what if nature is a lot more collaborative and less aggressive than we realize? (Indigenous groups have been sayin' this for a long time, but it seems scientists are finally paying attention.) Kristin Ohlson thinks about it in Sweet in Tooth and Claw, which looks closely at the deeper connections between everything from microbes to mammals. She'll be joined in conversation by Lee van der Voo, author of As the World Burns: The New Generation of Activists and the Landmark Legal Fight Against Climate Change.
