If you're already dreaming of warmer days, there's nothing like an avian mood-lifter. The soon-to-be-renamed Portland Audubon will play host to this online discussion with Tammah Watts, an LMFT and author of Keep Looking Up: Your Guide to the Powerful Healing of Birdwatching. Watts will "weave together personal stories and avian life to reveal the marvelous phenomenon shared among us," explaining the benefits of birding for mental health and how feathered fellows can teach us about mindfulness and community. (I'm still reeling from what I learned yesterday about the communal roosting habits of Portland's crows.)
