The following description comes from the event organizer.

Original 8 (OG8) is pleased to debut their upcoming self-titled album at the Aladdin Theater on Wednesday, April 17 at 8:00pm. The high energy rock band is comprised of seasoned musicians most of them well-known to Portland music fans. OG8 is Troy Williver on guitars and powerhouse singer Jaime Lynch on vocals, Phil Baker on bass, George Mitchell on keyboards, Michael Underwood on drums and percussion with Renato Caranto on sax. The performance is in support of the band’s digital release of their first single “Dreamer,” slated for April 12.

OG8’s concept is the brainchild of Troy Williver, known for his lightening quick guitar licks. Searching for a lead singer led him to Las Vegas where he saw multi-award winning performer Jaime Lynch give a solid vocal performance and asked her to join the band. Not only did she join but she and Williver wrote the songs for the project. The other members of the band have lengthy track records touring and recording  with top entertainers such as Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson, Arturo Sandoval and Linda Ronstadt, to mention a few. Also on hand to mix the performance will be the original sound engineer Drew Canulette.

“Dreamer,” the first release is an uplifting ballad, with country undertones. Additional ballads include “Desolation,” “Dark Side” and “Alibi.” Hard rocker and rock anthems include “Fire,” “Better Days” and “Woman.”

“OG8” is produced and released by Beat Farm Music, a record label and music publishing company out of Sherwood, Oregon. For more information and upcoming tour dates log on to www.beatfarmmusic.com.
