The following description comes from the event organizer.

Portland Piano International announces its 2023 / 2024 SOLO Piano Series, curated by the prolific Israeli pianist and recording artist Boris Giltburg. Featuring 12 recitals and three master classes at venues across Portland and Beaverton, PPI's new season offers spirited programs that run the gamut from perennial audience favorites by Beethoven, Schubert, and Schumann to riveting 20th-century works and an exploration of the women composers of Chicago's Black Renaissance.

PPI's SOLO Piano Series returns for a new season of inspiring and breathtaking recitals at Portland State University's Lincoln Performance Hall and The Patricia Reser Center for the Arts in Beaverton. These recitals offer music lovers across the greater Portland community the rare opportunity to hear the finest pianists of today - and the emerging stars of tomorrow - perform beloved works, hidden gems, and new music in two of the area's best venues.
The artist roster for PPI's 2023 / 2024 season includes:

Mishka Rushdie Momen (September 24 & 26)*
Marc-André Hamelin (October 15 & 17)
Boris Giltburg (December 3 & 5)
Filippo Gorini (January 7 & 9)*
Michelle Cann (February 4 & 6)*
Eric Lu (May 5 & 7)*

Portland recitals will continue to be held on Sunday afternoons at 4:00 p.m. at Lincoln Performance Hall. Performances at The Reser, previously offered as a 60-minute early-evening concert, will now feature each guest artist's full-length program on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 p.m.
