Naturalist Elaine Murphy will guide budding bird enthusiasts on a birding quest around Sauvie Island in pursuit of bald eagles and winter waterfowl. The grassy peninsula between Sturgeon and Steelman Lakes is sure to provide a bounty of birds, including grassland, upland, and riparian species for your viewing pleasure. Advance registration is required.

Advance reservations are required—we limit the number of participants to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable and educational experience—phone the Portland shop at 503-445-2699, press 3.

Our guide requires everyone (even full-vaccinated people) to wear masks to participate in this walk. The walk will last 2-3 hours.   Dress for the weather, and, please, no pets!
