The following description comes from the event organizer.

Join Oregon Humanities for an onstage conversation with Eli Saslow, a Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist for the New York Times whose recent reporting has explored stories about addiction, poverty, and homelessness in Portland, Phoenix, San Diego, and other cities across the country. Saslow and host Adam Davis will talk about what he has learned about the challenges facing American cities and how Oregon fits into these national crises. We'll also discuss the stories we tell about these crises. From what perspectives are they told? And who are they for?
