The James Webb Space Telescope launched in late 2021, ushering in an exciting new generation of space observatories. The telescope is expected to operate for the next decade and will enhance our understanding of exoplanets, cosmology, and the early universe. Astronomer and University of Oregon Professor James Schombert will describe the telescope and its scientific goals at this event, which is bound to thrill space nerds and the science-curious.
