The Benson has unveiled its 2023 Gingerbread Masterpiece: a giant replica of Neuschwanstein Castle, the German architectural feat that Walt Disney modeled Sleeping Beauty's castle after, both at Disneyland and in the film. Going on 52 years, this holiday tradition takes hours of work for bakers and decorators to complete, especially since every part of the creation is edible, from 150 pounds of handmade gingerbread to 50 pounds of marzipan and buckets upon buckets of royal icing. by Shannon Lubetich
