SAT + SUN, May 18 – 19, 2024 | 12 – 5 PM

Adult and Teens ages 16+, Limited to 15 participants

In this 2-day intensive workshop, artist Charles Spitzack introduces participants to wood block printing, informed by the Japanese mokuhanga tradition. Spitzack will overview a brief history of mokuhanga, introduce techniques for safe wood relief cutting, and offer students a chance to create hand pulled prints using wood blocks that they design and carve during the class.

NOTE: Registration for this event includes two 5-hour class sessions, held on Saturday May 18 and Sunday May 19, 12-5pm. Art materials will be supplied by the Bellevue Arts Museum.
General Public (includes museum admission): $255 + $45 Material Fee 

BAM Members: $225 + $45 Material Fee
