The following description comes from the event organizer.
Join us for a mini-workshop and birthday social to celebrate Monster’s ‘Sweet Sixteen!’ We’re going to pack a whole lot of fun into two hours: make an up-cycled aluminum party whistle with friend of the shop, artist Robert Mahar + get your sugar fix with sweet birthday treats and non-alcoholic drinks + hang out with your favorite Monster pals + listen to great music + shop the store after hours!Robert’s Little Whistle Workshop shows you how to transform colorful soda cans into old-school coach whistles complete with a ball chain lanyard. Bring one or two empty aluminum soda cans (rinsed and dried!) and we’ll provide all of the additional materials*, tools and instruction you’ll need to craft a couple cute party whistles. *We’ll have a selection of vintage-style bottle caps, ball chain lanyards, little cork balls to make that classic whistle warble sound, scissors, templates and hot glue guns ready for you! This will be a nicely organized but largely self-directed project - allowing you to make, snack and socialize at a leisurely pace.
