The following description comes from the event organizer.
For August’s Capitol Hill Art Walk, Glasswing will feature Abstract Shapes, a capsule clothing collection founded in 2017 by Seattle designer, . This project began with Dinah Dimalanta a simple mission to create clothes that she wanted to wear everyday - minimal, statement pieces that are easy to style and that have an aesthetic point of view. The result is a collection of three styles, that all mirror the same pattern offered in a variety of lengths and widths: the crop, tunic, and dress. All styles are currently available in two colorways, classic black and white. With an alternative approach to traditional sizing, Abstract Shape styles are designed with size options that focus on how each piece can be worn rather than thinking ‘what size will fit me’ best. There’s an innate connection when the fit of a garment can truly represent a person’s unique style and point of view. Multiple sizes could fit the same person, often depending on their mood or sensibility in the moment. Although the collection is narrowly focused to start, Dinah does have plans to expand the line with a v-neck and t-shirt sleeve modification in the near future.
