It's Christmastime in Gotham City, and too many criminals are on Batman's naughty list. The Penguin is on the naughty list for secretly terrorizing the city in plot to become the mayor. Max Schreck is on the naughty list for being a corrupt murderous businessman. And Catwoman is on the naughty list for many many reasons; hen again, that may be right where he wants her to be. Gotham has never looked more beautiful on screen with snow and holiday decoration covering the city. Michael Keaton delivers more than just a broody Bruce Wayne, and the script leans more towards being an ensemble piece with plenty of character development. Add to this one of Danny Elfman's best early scores and you have a Batman film perfect for holiday viewing.
