The following description comes from the event organizer.

Make your own easy washcloth that doubles as a coaster or scrubbie! This two hour, hands-on workshop will cover all the basic skills you need to know to get started on crochet, including how to hold a hook and yarn, how to choose yarn and read a yarn label, and how to create the basic building blocks of crochet: the single, half double, and double crochet stitches!

By the end of the workshop you will feel confident tackling basic crochet projects that are worked flat, be able to read a pattern, and know how to finish off your project professionally with a neat border.

Each participant will receive a kit with a pre-started crochet piece to jumpstart your learning, a crochet hook, tapestry needle, stitch markers, and a surprise color of yarn. I will also provide video instructions for all steps so that you can recreate the project at home, as well as the printed pattern for the washcloth.

This in-person class will take place at Monster, 1716 NW Market St., on January 31st starting at 6:30 PM.

Class attendees receive a 20% discount on any same-day purchases at Monster (excluding original art, gift cards and class tickets).
