Australian Singer-songwriter and guitar virtuoso Daniel Champagne will be kicking off his 38-date tour on June 30th in Seattle, WA, and finishing up in Gainesville, FL on August 21st. Champagne will be touring in support of his upcoming still-untitled 6th album. Additionally fellow Australian artist Catherine Britt will be joining him on select dates.
Champagne is a classically trained guitarist who has been touring professionally since he was 18 years old. His guitar prowess and ability to infuse percussive rhythms into his catchy roots-rock ballads make him truly one of a kind. Champagne is also a notorious road warrior who averaged over 300 shows a year pre-pandemic. He has played some of the biggest festivals in the world and shared stages with greats such as Tommy Emmanuel, INXS, John Butler, Lucinda Williams, Rodrigo Y Gabriela and many others. On top of being critically acclaimed for his live performances, Champagne’s song “Holding The Moon” from his album “The Gypsy Moon Volume II” took home the award for best Folk/Americana/Roots song at the International Acoustic Music Awards in 2015.
When the pandemic hit in early 2020, Champagne was forced to return home to Australia where he was sequestered by a two year travel ban. Despite the unforeseen circumstances, he continued honing his craft, writing new songs and engaging his fans relentlessly with 400 straight days of performing via livestream. In preparation for his upcoming tour, Champagne has curated a brand new can’t miss live show that is bound to delight guitar enthusiasts and music lovers alike.
