For one week, Seattle turns into a center for French and Francophone cinema culture, offering some of the best movies you'll see all year. The fest will open with The Shiny Shrimps, a comedy about a flamboyant gay water polo team. Other notable features: the farce Kiss & Tell, the Adèle Haenel-starring crime comedy The Trouble With You, the thriller Mother's Instinct, the contemporary French Muslim reimagining of Victor Hugo's Les Misérables, the Golden Bear-winning Synonyms, and the drama Stars by the Pound, whose lead, Laure Duchêne, will be visiting.
