The following description comes from the event organizer.
Each Fellowship Wednesday features an album listening session starting at 5:30PM, hosted by our Artist In Residence Julian Priester. Mr. Priester will feature albums he played on as a leader or side-person, and share his recollections about the music and the session. Mr. Priester’s trombone can be heard on albums from some of jazz’s most significant artists: Duke Ellington, Ray Charles, Herbie Hancock, Sun Ra, John Coltrane and Max Roach to name a few. FREE OF CHARGE6:30PM is Fellowship hour - an opportunity to catch up with friends, listen to some “sides” and meet some of the new faces in our community. At 7:30PM we showcase two of Seattle’s top jazz artists every week with a set of live music from each band.
