The following description comes from the event organizer.

“Literary couple” Bela Breslau and Stephen Billias reading from and signing copies of their novel Pilgrim Maya at Island Books, 3014 78th Avenue SE, Mercer Island, WA 98040, Monday, September 12th, 6 pm – 7:30 pm

Bela and Stephen have an interesting story to tell, about their collaboration as a husband and wife writing team, their “literary marriage” as one interviewer described it, and also their 30th wedding anniversary trip/book tour, a combination of “senior van life” camping, hotels/motels, and staying with friends. Pilgrim Maya is the story of a young woman who suffers a life tragedy and starts down a couple false paths while seeking a way forward, before finding healing and redemption through "engaged Buddhism." Pilgrim Maya is "Recommended for seekers!" by Barbara McHugh, author of the award-winning novel Bride of the Buddha.
