The following description comes from the event organizer.

Lee Davignon and Megan Prince rework textile and plastic into sculpture and installations. In a participatory, durational performance, Prince invites visitors to knot a mass of reused textile while she attempts to unknot it and remake it into a sculpture. The project echoes the frustration and reward of working with others.

Davignon, a weaver by training, unmakes material while keeping its history of use. They unwind marine rope, ball hair, break up plastic packaging, and then they reweave or resculpt it until it is almost unrecognizable. They model how art-making ought to be aware of its material history and material future.
