The following description comes from the event organizer.
Seattle’s friendliest orchestra presents their spring concert in a family friendly format, featuring Symphony No. 1 by Jean Sibelius and Melody by Ukrainian composer Myroslav Skoryk, two nationalist works that have become songs of praise to a beloved homeland at a time of distress. The program also includes violin soloist Luke Fitzpatrick playing Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso by Saint-Saens.Bring the kids! We put on a special show just for our younger audience that’s geared to maximize their enjoyment while providing a fulfilling musical program for the whole family. Kid noises and dancing are welcome. Our family-friendly concerts are shorter in duration to keep things fun for everyone.
The Program:
Symphony No. 1 – Jean Sibelius
Melody- Myroslav Skoryk
Overture to Semiramide - Gioachino Rossini
Introduction & Rondo Capriccioso – Camille Saint-Saens with soloist Luke Fitzpatrick
