The following description comes from the event organizer.

Third Place Books Seward Park is thrilled to welcome you to the fifth series in our Social Justice Syllabus: Native Lands, Native Lives.
During this series, we'll explore the elided history of oppression and genocide against this land's Indigenous nations and peoples, as well as the history of Indigenous resistance over the past five hundred years. This series will include fiction, nonfiction, memoir, and poetry by Indigenous authors and will also investigate the specific circumstances regarding the dispossession of Salish land in the so-called 'Puget Sound.'
On Thursday, May 26 at 7pm, we'll be discussing Native Seattle: Histories from the Crossing-Over Place. You can purchase a copy of the book here: https://www.thirdplacebooks.com/book/9780295741345.
In accordance with current health guidelines, our in-store book clubs are meeting virtually on Zoom until further notice. Registration is free, but required to join in the conversation.
All are welcome and no purchase is required. A full reading list for this series can be found here: https://www.thirdplacebooks.com/sjs-native-lands-native...
