The following description comes from the event organizer.

In a landmark event celebrating Persian music and Iranian-American cultural exchange, Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra performs a program that features traditional and contemporary Persian sounds. Hamid Taghavi, master of the Persian dulcimer instrument known as the santur, joins the orchestra with vocalist Janna Baty to perform works by Reza Vali and Kian Ravaei, plus a few surprises. Rich and thrilling, fierce and sweet – the music of this program is not to be missed.
