The Shape of Water
The following description comes from the event organizer.
Guillermo del Toro's fantasy romance took home multiple Oscars, including Best Director and Best Picture. Upon getting a job at a top secret government lab, a mute janitor meets the subject being studied: a humanoid amphibious creature as smart as any person on land. As the two learn to communicate, the truest of love develops, and they begin to plan for the creature's escape. Set against the Cold War in the early '60s, the film was lauded for it's production design, script, make-up, performances, and nearly any other aspect of filmmaking one can think of.
